Concert to promote peace and humanity tonight

JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND — The September Concert presents its 9th annual worldwide concert series to promote peace and humanity this weekend. Locally, Eddie Cevetello, Lisa M. Bello, and Sean Requisites will perform tonight from 6 – 8 p.m. at Lamp Post Bar and Grill, 382 2nd St., Jersey City, (201) 222-1331.
Haruko Smith founded The September Concert in 2002 as a response to the 9/11 attacks in New York City.
“I wanted to use music as a way to heal everyone,” says Smith. What started as a few grassroots concerts in New York City has grown over the past nine years to global proportions. Today, The September Concert spans nine countries in four continents, including Italy, Scotland, Mexico, Japan, and Israel.
This year, there are over 80 concerts happening throughout the U.S. in this worldwide effort to spread peace through music. The concerts include all genres of music and are free of charge.
