Death threats against LHS workers reported to police

JERSEY CITY — Liberty Humane Society Board member John Hanussak has filed a report with the Jersey City Police Department after a person posting to the ‘Liberty Humane Society Uncensored’ fan page on Facebook urged opponents of the shelter’s euthanasia policy to take the fight over killing animals to the board members’ homes and offices, NJ.com reported.
“Wherever you go we will find you!! You are the hunted now. We played nice and you wanted to play hard. Now We Will Hunt You!,” the post said.
The item has since been removed and replaced with a comment in which the author says he does not condone violence.
The matter is under investigation, Police Lt. Edgar Martinez said.
