HOBOKEN — An attempt to remove a car from a handicapped parking space in uptown Hoboken went awry on Sunday afternoon, according to one reader.
The uptown resident wrote: “They were towing this car from a handicapped spot on Washington between 13th and 14th, Sunday about 3:10. As the tow truck was leaving, there was a crashing noise and the car had rolled off the truck and rolled up to the outdoor seating area at the Madison restaurant and the wine bar, probably hitting the metal divider there. Nobody was hurt. The car actually had a handicapped tag but those spaces are reserved for specific cars, not this one.”
Oops, their bad luck! Parking rules in Hoboken can be hard to decipher sometimes. (Photos by Joshua Tanzer)
