A Divine Liturgy was offered Sept. 27 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Jersey City, for Maria V. Kapsis (Lupis) of Jersey City. She was a seamstress and furrier for many years before retiring. A member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City, she also belonged to several Greek organizations and societies. She was the wife of Vasilios Kapsis; the mother of Gus, Nicholas, and John Kapsis; the grandmother of Sylvia, Billy, Nicholas, Joseph, and Vasilios Kapsis; the great-grandmother of Frederick and Vasilios Kapsis; and the sister of siblings in Greece.
