Teachers thank students

To the Editor:
On behalf of the seven retired traditional teachers who attended the first Mary J. Donohoe School reunion, we would like to sincerely thank Judy Delaney Timko, Lucienne Zsidisin, and Brian Dameron for their outstanding effort in organizing this memorable event. It was truly a night of honor, recognition, and appreciation from former students during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The entertainment was lively and the performance by Judy in singing “You Light Up My Life” was inspirational. Speaking about the good old days at Mary J. was a delight. A special note of thanks also goes to Amici’s Restaurant, only a few feet behind the school, for their fine food and service. The organizers are to be congratulated for raising a $500 donation to the Simpson Baber Foundation that evening.
To our former students and friends at School No. 4, we extend our genuine gratitude; dear Miss Donohoe is very proud of all of you.

MISS DORIO, MRS. KIKEN-DEUTSCH, MRS. ROSENBERG, MR. BETZ, MR. STABILE, MR. WASSER & MR. LYNCH
