Vote to keep Take Back Secaucus

Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter to all my friends, neighbors, and residents of Secaucus. I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. Well, now that summer is over, it’s that time of the year when you start seeing signs on lawns and fences. I guess you all know what that means. It’s Election Time. Now I want you to sit back and relax while you keep reading this as I take you back in time to the year 2009, the month of May, the 5th day. This is when an event happened that would change the course of history for the Town of Secaucus. Now you ask yourself, what was that event? It was an announcement made by then Councilman Mike Gonnelli that he would be running for Mayor along with a full slate of council candidates under the banner known to you as Take Back Secaucus. Now, let’s start moving into the future to the month of November, the same year, the 3rd day, Election Day. This is the day that started the change. Councilman Mike Gonnelli, on that day, became Mayor Elect Mike Gonnelli. Now, let’s start moving again to this year, 2010, the month of January, the 1st day. Councilman Mike Gonnelli is sworn in as Mayor for the Town of Secaucus and his council candidates were also sworn in as councilmen. This is the Event of Change. The People of Secaucus, by electing the Take Back Secaucus Team, showed they wanted a change of government. Well, change Secaucus got. We now have an open form of government with honest leadership we can count on to lead us into the future under the leadership of Mayor Mike Gonnelli and his independent Council. Now, let’s take one more step together into the future, this year 2010 to the month of November, the 2nd day, Election Day. Come out and join me and once again elect the Take Back Secaucus Independent Council Candidates. We got our change; let’s keep it and keep moving on into the future. Remember, it took a long time of waiting for change. Now that we got it, the only thing we have to do to keep it as that on Nov. 2. Come out and vote – Column D – 5: Gary Jeffas, 1stWard; Jim Clancy, 2nd Ward; Sue Pirro, 3rd Ward.
Remember –Take Back-Took Back-Gave Back.
