BAYONNE AND BEYOND — Two bugs were seen on a student’s bookbag this week on a school bus on Nov. 16 outside the John M. Bailey School 12 on West 10th St. They were confirmed as bed bugs, said Schools Superintendent Dr. Patricia McGeehan. Health officials were notified and a bug-sniffing dog brought in to determine if the the bus or school was infested.
The investigation found no other bugs in the school or the bus, but school officials ordered the bus treated and a letter was issued to all of the parents alterting them as to what transpired.
