Funeral services took place Nov. 29 for Benedetto A. Messina, 82. He passed away Nov. 21 at his home. Born in Hoboken, he was a life long resident. Before his retirement, Mr. Messina was a Teamster with Local 560 Union City for 20 years. He was the son of Guiseppi and Carmela Messina. He is survived by his children, Joseph of Toms River, Linda Gratton of Ocean Township and Karen MessinaPhilpot of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; his brother Armando Messina of Florida; and his six grandchildren. Services arranged by the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.
