Dear Editor:
I want to thank the approximately 600 people who attended the Coptic Community Service, Yraida Lipski and my ninth Thanksgiving celebration this year. It truly was a special event and will not be forgotten. In order to make this possible, people had to either donate time or money, so I would like to thank them as well. In particular, Mayor Healy, Councilman Bill Gaughan, Councilman Steve Fulop and Deacon Emad Attalla made generous monetary contributions. Coptic Community Services made and donated homemade desserts, enough for more than a thousand people. Dozens of people, including Councilman David Donnelly, helped shop, set up, serve and clean up for the event. Coptic Community Service, Yraida and I look forward to making our tenth Thanksgiving celebration even more spectacular.
