A funeral mass took place Dec. 10 at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Mary Salemme, 83. She passed away on Dec. 7. Mary was born in Archbald, Pa., and moved to Jersey City in 1941. Mary was a self-employed electrologist and and a teacher of electrolysis. She was a graduate of Electrolysis Academy, New York City and Dickinson High School, Jersey City. Mary was very charitable and a devout parishioner of St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City. She also was active in many local senior clubs. Mary was the wife of the late Damiano; mother of Maryann Dean and Maggie Salemme; and grandmother of Julian, Marcus and Ray Dean. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Natale and Carmella (nee Barbara), and four sisters and two brothers. She is the aunt of George and Peggy Critelli, Gerald Scarpone and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
