Manhunt follows shooting at Bayonne gas station

BAYONNE AND BEYOND — Three men, believed to be African American, are being sought in connection with an early morning shooting at a gas station on 440 in Bayonne that left an attendant critically wounded on Monday, Dec. 6.
City officials said a car which had New York State license plates fled south on Route 440 and was believed to be headed over the Bayonne Bridge into Staten Island.
An official who asked not to be named said Port Authority of New York and New Jersey was reviewing surveillance cameras for clues.
The victim underwent emergency surgery at Jersey City Medical Center. His condition is not yet known. Police Chief Robert Kubert is expected to issue an official release on the incident later today.
