In support of Dr. Joseph Colao

To the Editor:

I can’t condone what Joe is being accused of. I had a double knee replacement in February 2005. I developed a serious staph infection, almost losing my left leg. I was in constant pain for nine months. Joe did everything possible to alleviate my pain.
I was supposed to be in the hospital for three days, but it turned into 29 days. Joe used to come three, four o’clock in the morning to see how I was doing. He was a caring and good friend. The hack who operated on me couldn’t have cared less.
It’s easy to accuse someone of wrong-doing when they aren’t here to defend themselves.
