Christmas Cabaret

The Kennedy Dancers will once again present its annual “Christmas Cabaret,” a dance performance by the Kennedy Dancers Inner City Youth, Kennedy Dance Students and special guests from the Kennedy Dancers Professional Repertory Company. Dancers aged 3-18 years old will be performing.
The show is on December 10 at 7 p.m. and December 11 at 3 p.m. at The Kennedy Dancers studio on 79 Central Avenue in Jersey City. Ticket prices are as follows: $20 presale, $23 at the door. For tickets call (201) 659-2190. This special occasion is a fundraising event as ticket sales will go toward the Inner City Youth Junior Dance Program and Company.
The Christmas Cabaret is a series of dance performances set to holiday music choreographed by Diane Dragone, Artistic Director. Performances will include dances set to the music of Pachelbel’s “Canon in D Major,” Cascada’s “Last Christmas,” Whitney Houston’s “Joy to the World,” with additional choreography by Gigi Dragone from Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers.” Our Christmas Cabaret not only celebrates Christmas, but also Hanukah with dancers set “Through Heaven’s Eyes” and Kwanzaa with a dance set to Lebohang Morake’s “He Lives In You,” from the Lion King 2.
The Inner City Youth is a scholarship program for disadvantaged teens who exhibit talent and the passion to be professional dancers.

$5.8 million sale announced

NJ B12 recently reported that the Kislak Company has brokered the sale of six investment properties in Hudson County for a combined $8.7 million, the largestof which was the $5.8 million sale of The Gateway, a 20-unit apartment building in Bayonne on Avenue E near the 22nd Street light rail station.
Other deals included the $577,500 sale of a 4,000-square-foot office building on Broadway in Bayonne; the $500,000 sale of a six-unit building on W. 54th Street in Bayonne; the $494,500 sale of a six-unit building on W. 54th Street in Bayonne; and two six-unit properties in Jersey City.
The Woodrbridge-based firm, Davis Briones, represents the undisclosed seller and buyer.
“Many Hudson County multifamily properties generate a significant return, often in a relatively short amount of time, given the market’s strong tenant base and proximity to New York City,” Briones said in a prepared statement. “Demand is soaring among investors for properties. New owners often achieve rent growth shortly after closing.”
