To the Editor:
Recently, the St. Ann’s Society of Bayonne formerly of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish held its 82nd Annual Fundraiser “Wishing on a Star” at The Chandelier. On behalf of the society, I would like to thank The Chandelier, especially Victor, Hugo and their staff for the excellent food and hospitality. We always feel at home there.
We would like to thank Pizza Master, The Chandelier, Rincon, San Vito, Chris’ Corner, Piccolinos, Mediterraneo, Bon Appetito, and 22nd Street Meat Market for their donations to our Dine Around Gift Table. And thanks to all of the members and their families who purchased and donated gifts and baskets. Special thanks to Al Richards Chocolates for his delicious basket of chocolates that he donated to us once again. We hope that everyone would patronize these establishments that we are so fortunate to have in our city.
I would also like to thank my Frank, Mathew and Rosalie for their help transporting all the gifts at the last minute to The Chandelier.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of our families and friends who attended our brunch and who come every year. This was our first year on our own since our church closed, and we were happy to see our old friends and new ones. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
My sincere gratitude and thanks to the entire committee: Rosalie Brown, Rachel Della Rosa, Amalia Sottile, Fina Barberi, Carol Bruness, Carol Bednarski, Pat Polera, Frances Nicaretta, Marie Mannion, Lorraine Senerchia, Josephine Fumento and our helpers Babe Bernard, Joan Caputo, Kay Mosca, Judy DeCesare, Jean Perrucci, and Joan LeGregin. I hope I did not leave anyone out. Special thanks to all the St. Ann’s members who prepared all year for this event. We are a very small group but our members have very big hearts! They are so dedicated to St. Ann and are now excited about donating to needy causes in our own city.
I hope God blesses all of you with good health and happiness!
