Chargers cruise as Cifuentes “Sibs” star

Sailing through their 2016 campaign like a well-oiled machine, the (4-0) Chargers have registered four victories with an average winning margin of 54-14. With the JCC of Bayonne Indoor Flag Football Sr. Division Championship Tournament still eight weeks away, the (2-2) Bengals hoped to gain some ground as they took on the high flying Chargers. Storming out to a 38 advantage, the Chargers continued to cruise along with Aaliyana Cifuentes (2 TDs, 2 expts), Alejandro Cifuentes (2TDs, 4 expts), Kyle Arano (1TD) and Mariam Rasslan (2 expts) each finding paydirt. After throwing three interceptions and four dropped TD passes, the self-destructing Bengals finally got on the board as Mike Piscopo held on to a tipped TD toss making it 38-6, Chargers. With everything going their way, the Chargers never let up as Alejandro Cifuentes tallied his 3rd and 4th TD of the bout while Aaliyana Cifuentes tacked on a two point grab to expand the Chargers’ lead to 52-6. As the outcome became clear, the Bengals did continue to fire away as Drew Radil, Chris Ballance, Anthony Baez, and Jack Kruchkowski each notched receptions but the endzone stayed out of reach as the Chargers rolled to a 52-6 win.
