Hoboken filmmaker Frank Gigante is Man of the Year

Local filmmaker Frank Gigante was honored as a Distinguished Italian-American Man of the year by the City of Union City at its annual Columbus Day flag raising event for making significant contributions to Union City and its youth, as the filmmaker behind the prominent ant-bullying documentary, “Breaking the Silence”

In 2015 Gigante completed the film, which has shone a spotlight on the all-too-often ignored issue of bullying and related suicide among children and young adults.

The film features experts and victims of bullying who share their thoughts on how to stop this growing epidemic that’s killing our kids. Joseph and Jane Clementi from the Tyler Clementi Foundation participated in the documentary.

Gigante is currently optioning and developing film and TV scripts to offer the networks.

Everyone who knows Gigante knows that he is a family man with strong values and morals. Gigante is also an investigator for the Hudson County Board of Elections and assists in the administration of federal, state, and local elections for voters of Hudson County.

Future and some upcoming projects are “Forbidden Blood” “Steel Peers” and “The Fixer” (The Larry Rolla Story).

Frank Gigante is the founder and an active producer of My Way Productions.
