ANSWER: Referees will honor a request for time-out by either the head coach or playing captain only during dead ball. Referees’ time-outs can be called anytime deemed necessary and are not charged to either squad (Rule 11, Sec. 1, Art. 2 and Rule 11, Sec. 2, Art. 1).
