HOBOKEN — Almost a week after a train crash in Hoboken injured more than 100 people and caused the death of a local mom, NJTransit has told its workers that a second crew member must watch as trains pull into the terminal, according to an unsourced news report on Wednesday.
While PATH and light rail trains are still running to and through sections of the terminal, the many NJ Transit commuter trains that run to New York, Newark, and the suburbs had not resumed their runs as of Wednesday, as engineers are still fixing the area where the crash occurred.
The train accident last Thursday morning caused the death of a local mom who was hit by debris. A vigil will be held Thursday night for her in a local toddler park.
