CISZEWSKI, GEORGINA (nee: Martinez)

88, formerly of Bayonne, entered eternal life on September 2, surrounded by family. She passed in her Walpole, MA home after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a wife to her husband, the late Michael Ciszewski, as well as and a mother to her children, Joseph Perez and wife Jill, Elizabeth Jackson and husband Michael, Lisa Branch and the late Kathleen Kushnir. Georgina built a successful breakfast and lunch establishment “City Hall Luncheonette” which was often filled with customers from City Hall, the Bayonne Fire and Police Headquarters. She volunteered at Bayonne Medical Center for many years and later accepted a position as a special needs aide at the A. Harry Moore Laboratory School. Recognizing her fluency in Spanish and the growth in Latino families needing support, the principal created the special position of translator for her, which she enjoyed until her retirement. Georgina was preceded by her parents, Richard Martinez and Odilia Nazario, her sister, Mary Ortiz, her brother James Matinez, her husband Michael Ciszewski and her daughter Kathleen Kushnir. She is survived by her children Joseph Perez, Elizabeth Jackson and Lisa Branch and her eight grandchildren, Jamie Lyn Geduldick, Jimmy Geduldick and wife Dina, Cristen Decourcey and husband Jon, Michael Perez, Jessica Jackson, Melissa Jackson, Alexa Branch and Brian Perez, as well as seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
