HOBOKEN — Monica Stromwall, a member of the Hoboken Board of Education, resigned Tuesday night during the board’s monthly meeting.
She said that she and her family are moving to Connecticut.
Stromwall said, “It is with a heavy heart tonight that I submit my resignation as a trustee of Hoboken public schools. I am moving out of state and I can no longer serve the great city of Hoboken.”
The school board has 65 days to appoint a new member to fill Stromwall’s now vacant seat; otherwise the County Superintendent will do so, said board member Peter Biancamano.
Three other seats are up for election this coming November. Watch for more school and election news in a future edition.
