69, of Bayonne, passed away at his home on August 7, 2016, after a nearly three-year long battle with ALS. Charles spent the last 20 years as a police, fire and emergency dispatcher for the city of Bayonne. He served as a Seaman in the United States Navy during Vietnam, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Charles is survived by Julie, his wife of 44 years; his daughter, Christy; his son, Keith; his two grandchildren, Reese Marie and Brennan Charles; his sister, Carolyn Fryczynski (Stanley); and niece; Erin Caldarone (Jonmichael).
