Random acts of violence

Dear Editor:
I am deeply saddened by the mass shooting that took place in Orlando, Florida at a gay nightclub. This most recent act is considered to be one of the worst shootings in American history. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I stand in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Orlando.
While we are continuing to fight for equality every day, there is still more work to be done to end hatred in our country. We can continue to hold rallies and marches but that will not solve the problem. It is time to call out radical Islamic terrorism as it is and protect all Americans from these random acts of violence.
