Valles, Benson ride again as Bruins romp

With their perfect record now blemished, the (4-1) Bruins hit the court with a sense of purpose as they tangled with the (0-4) Red Wings to close out week four of the JCC of Bayonne’s Jr. Division floor hockey program. Leaving no doubt about their mindset, the Bruins built a 6-0 advantage within the first ten minutes. Flailing away with one rapid fire goal after another, Sebastian Valles was red hot with Anthony Baez (3), Christian Benson (2), and Toni Rivada (1) on the assists. Coming out for the second period, the Red Wings’ defense shadowed the Bruins’ sharp shooter Valles, but soon fell prey to a goal by Christian Benson who made it a 7-0 Bruins’ lead. Stalled at the gate, the Red Wings finally got on board as Alexandra Hulsman sailed in a thirty foot bulls-eye off an assist from Kailey Delauter to make it 7-1, Bruins. Frustrated at every turn, the Red Wings tried to gain a foothold as William Hulsman. Khaled Rasslan, and Mariam Rasslan fought the ball up court but the Bruins simply regrouped and went back to the attack. Ruling the roost from start to finish, the Bruins scored ten more times as Valles (8 goals, 1 assist), Benson (2 goals, 4 assists), Baez, (1 assist), Rivada (2 assists), and Brenden McCall (1 assist) completed the scoring avalanche for a 17-1 victory.
