76, of Bayonne and Pine Beach, passed away at home in Pine Beach on May 3, 2016. Born in Bayonne, he served in the US Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. Prior to his retirement, he was VP for Solomon Brothers, the Proprietor of TM’s Tavern in Bayonne, and served as the Agent at the Bayonne Division of Motor Vehicle Office for 16 years. John was a member of the Marine Corps League, the Loyal Order of the Moose, Jersey City, the Pine Beach Senior Men’s Club and the Pine Beach Republican Club. Surviving is his wife Anita (nee: Schelmay) and his son Todd Michael. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seaside Chapter of Deborah, Marine Corps League, Disabled American Veterans or St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
