Questions about Town Center money unanswered

Bernard Golomb, 71, of Bayonne, said he would be consulting his attorney regarding reports that he allegedly misappropriated about $161,000 from Town Center Management Corporation, where he is a board member.
The corporation originally oversaw the city’s Special Improvement District until the city opted to run the operation.
According to several reports, Golomb has been accused of alleged unauthorized access to the corporation’s bank account for alleged personal use.
Golomb, owner of Aaron’s Gold jewelry store in Bayonne, does have authorization to use the account, provided the expenditures are co-signed by another member of the board. Reports claim that he allegedly did not have the necessary co-signature to authorize spending.
“I’ll be issuing a statement as soon as I speak with my attorney,” Golomb said.
