Heck no!

To the Editor:

It appears that the “brain-trust” within City Hall should re-examine their actions. By this I mean, the words spoken in no way match reality. Here are only two examples:
First, whenever a sports facility is renovated, the words heard are—“Not a bad seat in the house.” Then one looks at the baseball bleachers in Ahern Stadium with a capacity of 40 seats total, in the vicinity of four large poles, and must watch through a wire fence!
Second, the last mayoralty election was influenced by the words, “Can’t put students first, if you put teachers last.” Here we are again after all the boosts of the new administration, namely, the partisanship, negativity, and disregard for students/parents/teachers.
In looking to the future, come the next school year, will the bleachers in the Stabile Gym be improved to allow more spectators to watch the girls’ varsity basketball team led by seniors Adriana Blake and Niaimani Marshall to another County Championship? Also too, will more experienced, dedicated, and caring teachers have left for another school system, which respects professionalism and offers a fair salary?
Even with the passage of time, all of the above will be easy to recall (oops sorry about that)!
