JERSEY CITY — There may be lots of beautiful women in Jersey City, but Eminem fans know that he’s more partial to Midwestern girls. So did he really say this in a radio interview?: “I knew a girl from Jersey City and I visited her and her family in Jersey City years ago and I thought at the time that maybe she was just an exception but she wasn’t. And I’m not saying that the women there are necessarily more physically beautiful than other women in other places but, from my experience in Jersey City, the women there have the entire package, ya know? They’re not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. The girl I knew from Jersey City was sweet, caring, and beautiful all-around and I found that to be the case for a lot of women there.”
Slim Shady is quoted on a news site called newsdaily27.com as having said it “in a radio interview.” The short article appeared there last week.
There’s no more information, and the site says about itself, “Most articles on newsdaily27.com are satire or pure fantasy.”
But apparently it’s a fantasy many people want to believe.
News station Pix 11 ran a report in the morning of April 29 reporting on the rap star’s quote. It gives no source.
Well, it was an awfully flattering quote, so who can blame anyone for wanting to repeat it? We know some people who’d be very happy to have Slim come and help them clean out their closets.
