Hoboken storyteller/comedian Adam Wade appears on ‘Girls’ season finale, and gets profiled in New Yorker

HOBOKEN — It’s been a busy week for longtime Hoboken resident and comedian/storyteller Adam Wade. The New Hampshire transplant appeared in the season finale of the hit HBO comedy series “Girls” on April 17, then was profiled in an article in the New Yorker two days later. (Kudos to writer Sarah Larson for not trying to claim he lives in New York).
In the Girls episode (click for video preview), Wade assists main character Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham) with her debut at the New York storytelling series The Moth. Wade scolds Hannah, “You’ll get disqualified…no notes!” Larson writes that such a drubbing would be uncharacteristic of the gentle New Englander.
Keep your eyes open around the Mile Square City, as you may see Wade around town, pondering how to start his next story. If you do, make sure you yell, “No notes!” Also find him on adamwade.com or on Twitter extolling some Hoboken eats.
