To the Editor:
The new Trash and Recycling schedule has cans out for pick up three days per week instead of two days. Not only is this unsightly but this increases the possibility of waste being knocked over and blown around the street. The trash collectors don’t usually pick up anything that falls out of the cans or is lying on the ground. After the pickup, they just throw the cans toward the driveway or sidewalk. It’s a mess! It’s a shame that Bayonne has so much litter on its streets and sidewalks. I’d ask that the city officials take a look around on trash and recycling days to see how bad it looks.
