JERSEY CITY – The Hudson County office of Emergency Management (OEM) has issued a high wind watch in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning predicting winds out of the west at a steady 25 to 35 mph increasing to gusts as high as 60 mph.
The OEM recommends taking precautions such as securing any moveable objects, storing lawn furniture and trash receptacles or yard objects that could blown by the wind.
The high winds have the potential to down trees and power lines leading to scattered power outages and difficulty driving high profile vehicles.
