A funeral mass was offered March 18 at Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus for James Vincent Cemelli, 96, of Secaucus. He passed away March 14. He was born and raised in Hoboken and lived for many years in Weehawken before moving to Secaucus eight years ago. James was the owner of Cemelli’s Italian Grocery in Hoboken for many years then worked for the Teamsters Local 560 before retiring. He was the husband of the late Rose Cemelli. He was the father of James F Cemelli, Rosemary Thiemann, Frank Cemelli, Genevieve Pezzino, Peter, Paul and the late Pfc. Salvatore C. Cemelli. He was the brother of Anthony Cemelli and was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. He was the grandfather of 13 grand and seven great grandchildren and was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
