67, a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away on February 29 at the Bayonne Medical Center. Thomas was a husband to Deborah (nee: Miller), a father to Melissa Newman and her husband Anthony, and Danielle Bilak and her husband Christopher. A grandfather to Christopher Bilak Jr., Brianna Bilak, Ashleigh Newman, and Benjamin Bilak. A brother to John Babnis and his wife Diane. Also a brother-in-law to Meredith and Robert Smith, and an uncle to Christina Babnis. Thomas worked for IMTT for over forty years. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Thomas was also a member of the IMTT Emergency Response Team, a PBA #7 Range officer and instructor, Security and Safety Compliance for Henry Rifle, and a lifelong NRA member. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Envelopes provided at the funeral home.
