To the Editor:
Thank you, James Dolton, for your “Not a Davis Fan” letter and your hope that fellow residents are also closely watching Mr. Davis.
I watched when Mr. Davis, who was a Bayonne Police Captain, made his decision to run against Mayor Mark Smith, who was a deputy chief. Mr. Davis’s decision sent a strong message of weakness in the Bayonne Police Department. It was a very bad public relations image for the city of Bayonne.
Also, thanks for taking the time to be a fact finder for the benefit of Bayonne taxpayers. The three facts you listed on taxes, teachers, and Broadway are what the Bayonne public needs to know.
