BAYONNE – The city of Bayonne has announced its preparations for Jan. 22 to 24 in regard to the expected snowstorm.
Among the preparations is the readying of 1,000 tons of salt, 23 plows, and 10 salters.
Also, “No Parking” signs will be posted on Broadway from 17th Street to 32nd streets. Private vehicles will not be allowed to park on that part of Broadway from midnight on Friday night (12:01 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23) to midnight Sunday, Jan. 24 (12:01 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25). The “No Parking” period will enable the Public Works Department to remove snow from both sides of the street in the central business district.
Enforcement of parking meters in municipal lots will be suspended on Saturday, Jan. 23 to provide places to park. As always, enforcement of parking meters is not in effect on Sundays.
In addition, alternate-side-of-the-street parking and street sweeping will be suspended for Saturday, Jan. 23.
