DZIEMIAN, BARBARA R. (nee: Findlay)

75, passed away on January 12, 2016, at her residence with her family at her side. Born in Bayonne, she was a lifelong resident. Barbara was a graduate of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Grammar School and a 1958 graduate of Holy Family Academy. Barbara served as secretary for the Special Services Department of the Bayonne Board of Education, retiring in 2010. A devoted parishioner of St. Henry’s Church, Barbara was also a member of the choir for over 15 years. She was a longtime, proud member of the Bayonne St. Patrick’s Parade Committee and was honored as the Grand Marshal of the parade in 2014. In addition, she represented Ireland’s 32 as an Aide to the Grand Marshal in 2001 and 2009, and was a member of the Donegal Association. She was also a member of the Jack Foye Association, the New Frontier Democrats and was involved in many “Dance with Dot” events. She was predeceased by her husband, David T. Dziemian. She is survived by her children, Susan Beurskens (John), Karyn Olsen (David), and David S. Dziemian (Cindy); her grandchildren, Thomas Beurskens, Alexis Olsen, and Emily and Findlay Dziemian; her siblings, Robert Findlay (Mary Joyce), Richard Findlay (Susan) and Denise Dempsey (Mark); and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose (nee: Campbell) and Robert Findlay.
