Utility pole knocked down into Bayonne gas station

BAYONNE – A vehicle struck a utility pole at Avenue E and 8th Street on Monday evening, crashing the pole into a gas station sign, but not into the gas pump right underneath it.
The incident occurred at 7:50 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, according to the Bayonne Police Department.
A police spokesperson said on Tuesday, Nov. 17 that the department had no further information to report about the incident at that time.
