A funeral mass was held Nov. 4 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Jersey City, to honor the life of Thomas Joseph Martiak, 73, husband of the (late) Constance Martiak, of Jersey City. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Oct. 30. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Jersey City, where he married and raised his family. Thomas worked for Marshello Funeral Home for a number of years until he retired at the age of 65.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Theresa Aguirre; his son Thomas F. Martiak and his wife Jennifer Martiak; his daughter Mary Ellen Martiak and her husband Frank Quionnes; his son Robert Martiak and his wife Denise Martiak; his grandchildren Anthony Martiak, Jennifer Aguirre, Caitlyn Aguirre, Amanda Martiak and Sophie Martiak, as well as other relatives and friends.
