BAYONNE – The Bayonne Bridge will be closed overnight from Friday night, Nov. 6 through Saturday morning, Nov. 7, and then again from Saturday night, Nov. 7 through Sunday morning, Nov. 8, to accommodate ongoing construction work on the “Raise the Roadway” bridge project, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has announced.
The schedule is: The bridge will close at 9 p.m. Friday and reopen at 9 a.m. Saturday. It will close again at 9 p.m. Saturday and reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday.
The span’s seasonal shuttle has concluded service for 2015. The service is expected to resume in May.
The Port Authority also announced a change to next week’s schedule of weekday closures: On Monday, Nov. 9, the bridge will remain open throughout the day and will close overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the bridge will remain open throughout the day and will close overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, Thursday, Nov. 12, and Friday, Nov. 13, the bridge will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and will close overnight from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
