Dear Hoboken Neighbors:
When I was growing up here in Hoboken, our city was a very different place. But in the ways that really matter, it hasn’t changed that much – families raising their children in a vibrant, diverse setting, seniors enjoying their golden years in the community they love, businesses thriving in the most exciting place in New Jersey. That’s why I love Hoboken like we all do, and it’s why I am stepping forward to run for 4th Ward Council.
Hoboken needs experienced leaders at the local level who know how to get things done for residents. When I represented our community first as the youngest Councilman in Hoboken history and later as a member of the State Assembly, I always took that to heart and knew that no matter what may get in the way we have an obligation to the people to deliver the results they deserve.
The Fourth Ward is a beautiful place to live, but for too long it has been neglected by the city due to weak leadership. We need to do more to reduce flooding, to build new parks and to ease the traffic gridlock that too often grips our busy streets. You’ve heard politicians make all of these promises before, and it hasn’t gotten done. When I’m elected to represent you, that ends. I will not stop until our neighborhood finally gets what it needs from City Hall, and I will never quit fighting for you.
Thank you for your support,
Ruben Ramos
