Dear Editor:
I have been a resident of Hoboken for the past four years. My older son attends Brandt School in the Pre-K program and my younger son will follow in his footsteps. My husband and I have committed to raising our children in Hoboken, which includes sending them to Hoboken public schools. For this reason, I write to implore the residents of Hoboken to vote in the upcoming election, particularly for the open seats on the Board of Education.
I believe that the three candidates in the Reach Higher Hoboken slate, Tom Kluepfel, Sheillah Dallara and Addys Velez stand out as the candidates who can continue to help our public schools reach their highest potential. The candidates are universally positive and passionate about our schools. I have known Sheillah Dallara for many years and have been incredibly impressed with her advocacy and involvement in making our schools better. At the recent forum co-sponsored by the Hoboken Quality of Life Coalition, all three candidates spoke with poise and knowledge about the real issues facing our schools. They remained forceful, yet positive, in explaining why they are the best candidates for the position. I feel confident in their abilities and believe their backgrounds and experiences make them the right fit the Board of Education.
Vote for Reach Higher Hoboken, column F, rows 2, 4 and 6.
Sincerely,
Jamie Lieberman
