Bridge closing Friday into Saturday, but open for marathon Sunday

BAYONNE –The Bayonne Bridge will close for construction work overnight from Friday, Oct. 30, to Saturday, Oct. 31, but will remain open the rest of the weekend due to Sunday’s New York City Marathon, which starts in Staten Island. the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey announced.
The bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, through 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. The bridge will remain open from that point until 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2.
The Bayonne Bridge shuttle service, which provides transportation for pedestrians and cyclists, will operate from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
