Torched by a “Hail Mary” TD toss in game one the (0-1) Colts set their sights on righting the ship as they faced the Jets in a JCC of Bayonne Jr. Division Indoor Flag Football night cap. Hitting on all cylinders, the Colts quickly rang up 15 points as Aaliyana Cifuentes notch two TD grabs while David Matos added 3 extra points. Down 15-0, the Jets got on the score board as Jack Kruchkowski made it 15-8 with a 17 yard TD catch and a two point grab. Returning to their running game, the Colts’ Aaliyana Cifuentes surged full court for another TD before making it 23-8 with a two point catch. With the Colts starting to pull away, the Jets turned to fullback Chase Cohen to spark a fire as Cohen rumbled 10 yards to paydirt followed by Anthony Baez’s two point snare to cut the Colts’ lead to 23-16. After two incompletions, the Colts got a huge boost as Brenden McCall reeled in a fingertip first down catch to set up another TD trot by Cifuentes to increase the Colts’ lead to 29-16. Running textbook pass routes all day, the Jets’ Jack Kruchkowski tallied a TD and a two point connection to put the Jets in striking range down just 29-24. While the action heated up, the Colts held firm as Cifuentes toted the ball goal to goal before Anthony Baez’s P.A.T. catch sealed the victory at 36-24 as the Jets moved to (1-1).
