Why should nonparents pay school taxes?

To the Editor:

In response to Rafael Agusto’s BOE campaign letter about his working with the Assembly members in the 31st District to provide more revenue to school districts, to stop allowing developers to get away without paying anything to the school districts when receiving abatement.
Since he also states that “change is needed, and change is good,” I would like to question him about the property homeowners who do not have students in the public schools. Should these homeowners be paying exorbitantly high taxes into the school district?
