72, a resident of South Orange, NJ, for 43 years, passed away on Oct. 8, 2015, at home. Joseph was born in Bayonne, and earned a B.A. in history from Saint Peter’s College in 1965. He was in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1968 during the Vietnam War, serving in the 269th combat aviation battalion,”The Black Barons.” In 2006, after 40 years, Joseph attended the first reunion of the Barons, and every one since. He retired as a supervisor at the New Jersey Department of Labor. Joseph was the husband of Rosemary Muller (nee: Eckhoff); brother of Andrew Muller, Mary Brown and the late Elizabeth Nelson. He is also by survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to South Orange Rescue Squad, 13 4th St., South Orange, N.J. 07079 would be appreciated.
