BAYONNE – The city’s Bergen Point Fall Festival, featuring entertainment and fun for all age groups, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, from noon until 6 p.m., on Broadway from 5th to Cottage streets.
The festival will include food, music and other entertainment, including inflatable rides, balloon sculpture, sand art, and face painting.
Fifty street vendors and organizations will have booths and tables at the festival.
Live music will be provided by the Blue Dawg, High Strung, Group Therapy, and Mark Byrne’s bands.
Additional entertainment will be provided by Dance With Me, Melissa Rada’s Kid Performers, and the Yoga Studio.
“The festival will be a fun community event to remind Bayonne residents and others of the vitality of the Bergen Point Shopping District,” Mayor James Davis said. “We invite everyone to join in this community celebration.”
The Windmill Alliance will host a car and motorcycle show from noon to 5 p.m. in the Trinity Church parking lot, on West 5th Street off Broadway. At 4 p.m., trophies will be awarded for Best Motorcycle, Best Car, and Best in Show.
The Bayonne Historical Society will host a history fair at the Bayonne Community Museum at 9th Street and Broadway.
The festival is hosted by the Bergen Point Merchants in conjunction with the Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone. Sponsors are the Bayonne Golf Club, BCB Community Bank, CarePoint Health, Gelspice, International Matex Tank Terminals, Provident Bank, and Donohue, Gironda and Doria Accountants.
The Bergen Point neighborhood is at the southern end of Bayonne, between the Kill Van Kull and the 8th Street light rail line.
