A funeral mass was offered Oct. 8 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for John J. “Joey” Burke, 42, of Jersey City. He passed away Oct. 2. He was born in New York and was a lifelong resident of Jersey City and worked as a roofer for All City Roofing in Jersey City. John was the son of the late Rosemary Burke; father of the late Mark Anthony Burke; grandson of Eva Burke; nephew of Debbie Sebastiano and her husband Nick and also Marcy Burke. John also leaves behind his close cousins Jennifer Gracia and her husband Sammy, Debra Sebastiano and her husband Aldy, Frank Sebistiano, Jr., and his second cousins Jacob, Justin and Jaida Reyes, as well as numerous friends.
