BAYONNE – The Bayonne Bridge will close this weekend to accommodate ongoing construction work on the span’s “Raise the Roadway” project, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey announced.
The bridge will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12. The bridge will remain open and operate under normal conditions through 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, when standard six-hour daytime closures will resume.
The Bayonne Bridge shuttle service, which provides alternate transportation for pedestrians and cyclists, will not operate this weekend.
