A funeral was held Sept. 26 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Grady Lee Carpenter, Sr. of Jersey City. He passed away Sept. 18. He was the husband of Peggy Carpenter, father of Jamill, Tarsha, Mercedes and the late Grady Carpenter, Jr., Evonne Pinckney, Tina Amo-Krah and Toni White; brother of John, Sylvester, Loretta, Eula Mae, Icie Mae, Annabelle, Arentha, Rethel, Alisha and predeceased by Roy and Virdale; grandfather of 10, great grandfather of three, and also survived by a host of niece, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
