BAYONNE – The city of Bayonne’s health fair has been rescheduled from Tuesday, Oct. 6 to Thursday, Oct. 15, because of the rain from Hurricane Joaquin expected on the original date.
The health fair will take place on Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Fitzpatrick Park, on Avenue C between 26th and 27th Streets.
The event will offer Bayonne residents health screenings, health information, diabetic teaching, and other services. There will be free testing for blood lead level, HIV, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
Participating groups include healthcare-related organizations, public agencies, and nonprofit services.
In the event of rain on Oct. 15, the health fair will take place on Friday, Oct. 16 at the same location and time.
