The Division of Recreation announces the 2015-2016 Special Needs Sports Calendar

Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced the schedule for the Special Needs Sports Program. This is the third season of Special Needs Sports.
The Special Needs Sports Program is open to Bayonne residents, boys and girls, ages 3-21. The program meets once or twice a month for mentally and physically challenged youth. The program will provide individualized attention to develop skills and fitness, as well as emphasize the fun aspects of all sports.
The calendar is as follows: soccer on October 17, pillo hockey on November 14, basketball on December 12, Zumba on December 20, indoor track and field on January 9, basketball on January 23, football and Super Bowl party on February 7, indoor track and field on March 5 and kickball on March 26. The date for baseball is to be announced. Times will be announced each month.
The Division of Recreation will also hold an open gym, every first and third Sundays of each month from October to April, at the Rich Korpi Ice Rink Gym, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
